About

A musician's ear, an engineer's hands.

I started at the piano. A Bachelor of Music with Honours at Stellenbosch University in Western Classical Piano, then five years teaching and performing in Cape Town — the foundation for the way I listen today.

Radio came next. Four years at Fine Music Radio as a Production Assistant and live broadcast technician, including live broadcasts of the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2018 I co-founded the Strictly Business Podcast in Cape Town, producing long-form conversations with leaders at Sygnia, Investec, Ninety One and others.

From there, the Netherlands: Sonology at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, then a Master of Music in Sound Design at HKU Utrecht (2019 – 2021), with a final paper on immersive audio. I joined Studio Bart Jilesen in 2021 — a Golden Calf–awarded sound design, recording and mixing studio for film, games, television and theatre — first as Sound Designer and Production Assistant, then four years as Project Manager.

Alongside that, four years co-producing and editing the Crushing On Podcast (Spotify, Apple Music — guests including Ruben Östlund, Oscar Isaac and the cast of Fate: The Winx Saga), and in 2025 a stint at Gravity Media as a Media Control Room Operator for Ziggo Sport Netherlands and RTL Boulevard.

Now I'm based in the Netherlands, working independently across film, television, radio, podcasts and live broadcast — bringing a decade of studio and on-air work with me.
